Six Pence is a nice setting but...

The noise is way too loud in the dinning section to hear yourself and the seating arrnagement seems to place you in the main traffic no matter where you sit.

The food...slightly above average.  Overall. the place is average to me.  I will only go back if I want to have a party that doesn't mind other's noise.  The acoustics really carry in the dinning section.

The food was below average, but the beer is cold...

My first experience (soon after opening) at Six Pence was not a good one (food related).  Finally went back a few weeks ago and the (food) experience was much better.  Our original intent was to head up to the roof top but it was to blazing hot that day (actually it was early evening and still close to 90 degrees).  Anyway we ended up eating in the dining area (which was not very crowded at all) but we later regreted that we didn't eat in the pub section (little more lax).  Will we go again?  Not for sometime (to many other places we like better).
